Font Mood Board Analysis
For my font mood board I gathered a selection of fonts which were all slightly if not very different, this was to see what font would look the best in comparison to others. I included serif and sans serif fonts along with abstract fonts to see which would appeal most to my target audience. Due to my target audience being the younger generation (teenagers/young adults) I tried to include more sans serif fonts as other magazines aimed at this age are mostly made up of these sorts of fonts. Sans serif fonts are also thought to look more friendly and inviting than serif fonts so by using the right font for my masthead this will hopefully make my magazine more successful. When looking for appropriate fonts to include I tried to pick bold and eye catching fonts as they would be more noticeable to the target audience when among other magazines. Sans serif fonts are also used to portray a fun mood, whereas serif fonts are considered more serious and targeted towards the older audience, so by including sans serif fonts on my cover this will hopefully give my magazine a fun sort of mood, making it more successful.
