Colour Mood Board Analysis

Colour Mood Board Analysis

From gathering information from my questionnaire on various different design ideas my target audience would like to see I was able to create a mood board including bright colours, neutral colours and greyscale colours. However, the results from my questionnaire showed that a magazine with bright colours on the cover would entice more buyers than a cover with darker colours would, considering this I ensured my mood board was created with mostly bright colours such as reds, blues, oranges etc. By also including other colours it will allow me to see what darker colours contrast with the brighter colours, to see if this would be an effective way to base my magazine colour theme around. A bright colour scheme would give my magazine a more friendly and happy mood, which would hopefully get the target audience’s attention and encourage them to buy the magazine. Whereas darker colours may not be as inviting and could possibly be less noticeable amongst other magazines. Due to my target audience being teenagers/young adults they are more likely to buy a magazine based on the front cover, so by having a bright and possibly contrasting colour theme this will hopefully make my magazine more successful.
